Ground Guide
The Hand Stadium has been Clevedon Town 's ground since 1992 when the club switched from Teignmouth Road , in the town centre, to a new, purpose built stadium on the edge of town. The ground's current capacity is 3,500 of which around 1,700 of that is under cover, including 300 seats. The ground has a large clubhouse located behind the main stand, with big screen TV, several plasma screens, pool table, skittles alley and dartboard. A wide selection of drinks is available. The Clubhouse is very welcoming and you will be sure to get a friendly reception before, and after, the match.
As you turn off the main road you will see the artificial pitch to your right and an extra full size pitch to your left. The ground itself has one main entrance area with 3 turnstiles and, while the ground does have the ability to segregate fans, at the Farm End, to date it has yet tobe used. There is extensive car parking on the site and designated areas for visiting team coaches.

As you enter the ground the club shop, tuck shop and stand are all in front of you, as well as the programme sellers. Inside the ground you can buy match programmes, raffle and golden goal tickets. To your left as you enter is the tuck shop selling hot dogs, burgers, pasties, chips, and snacks, with the club shop directly in front of you. Here you can purchase replica shirts, club souvenirs, badges and a vast collection of old league and non-league programmes, the non-league programmes comprising one of the best assortments in our league (so we are told!). Both ladies and gents toilets can be found immediately opposite you as you go through the turnstiles.
Immediately in front of that area is the main stand at The Hand Stadium, from which you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the pitch. The stand transfer costs £1 and is payable on entrance to the stand. The stand houses 300 seats, covering three quarters of the length of the pitch. At the top of the stand is the Directors Box, and below is the players tunnel and dugouts. For safety reasons we cannot, however, allow fans to stand in front of the main stand and we would appreciate your co-operation in this matter. Our club stewards will gladly assist you with advice and directions.
On the right of the entrance is the Equestrian Centre End - so called due to the Equestrian Centre that lies behind it! This is generally the congregation point for Clevedon supporters, and would generally be considered as the home end, although you can change ends depending on which way your team plays and there are no restrictions on movement around the ground.
Opposite to the Main Stand is the covered terrace, the terrace runs the whole length of the pitch, and the crash barrier provides a comfortable place from which to watch the match. The terrace can hold over 1000 supporters and comes in handy during the cold and wet weather. Behind this terrace is the artificial pitch on which hockey is frequently played so if you hear a sudden noise, it will probably be a hockey ball hitting the back of the stand!
The final side of the ground is the Farm End, because, you’ve guessed it, there’s a farm to the rear! This end has large nets at the top of the perimeter wall to prevent the ball from crossing into the nearby farmland and, in case you wondered, the M5 and the sea can be found in that direction!
