Welcome to Clevedon Town Football Club
It’s up the M4 to Swindon Supermarine on Wednesday
On Wednesday (KO 7-45) we travel up the M4 to meet our old friends at Swindon Supermarine, reinforced this season by our old striker Steve Cook amongst several other new faces, including Alan Griffin who scored against us for Mangotsfield United last season. We, in turn, have signed Simon Heal from them and so he’ll make a swift return to his old stomping ground, where we drew 1-1 in the league last season, after winning 6-0 in the Errea Cup. Hopefully Lewis Powell will return to the line-up after suspension and travel details can be found here or on the Swindon website, and we hope as many of you as possible can make the trip to Wiltshire. Swindon opened their season in fine style at Hitchin Town on Saturday, winning 1-0 with a goal by Steve Cook, so it will be another tough test for the Seasiders.
Clevedon Town 0 Bashley 0

Clevedon and Bashley opened the 2008/09 season with their third consecutive goal-less draw as ten man Clevedon hung on for a well deserved point.
The match started with a one minute silence for Chris Hatwood who sadly passed away during the close season with the game being watched by many of his friends and family.
A quiet first half saw neither side create many chances despite some attractive approach play, but it was home goalkeeper Danny Greaves who impressed with several fine saves.
Club Announcement
After almost 6 months of negotiation we are pleased to announce that Clevedon Town Football Club and The Hand Stadium complex has been secured on a three-year lease from current owner Mr. Barry Bradshaw.
A new company has been formed with 4 Directors consisting of Mr. Pat O’Brien, a Brislington based business man who has been nominated as Chairman, Mr. John Croft, Chairman for the past 11 years, who returns to his previous role as Club President and Vice Chairman, Mr. Graham Moody, who operates his own printing Company in Warwickshire and Mr. Russell Conybeare who has been the Chairman of Clevedon Town Supporters Club for the past 10 years.
A strong football committee, which will work closely with the board, has been formed. Chaired by Gordon Thomas, the members; Sue Garcia, Sandor Haasz, Martin Price, John Roberts, Brian Rose, Janet Steel and Dave Wright.
All directors and committee members have made financial commitments to the club.
There is a determination from all involved to maintain the status of Clevedon Town as a Southern League Premier Division Club and to exploit the excellent facilities at The Hand Stadium to the maximum benefit of the football club.
We look forward to working with the community both on and off the pitch to make this venture a success and to develop football at The Hand and in the local community.
There will be an open evening soon (date to be confirmed - please see press and website) in the function room for all supporters, past and present, to have the opportunity to hear the plans and aspirations that the board has for the club.
