Relegated Cheshunt visit The Hand this Saturday
This coming Saturday (12th) we will be hosting Cheshunt in a BGB Premier match, kick off at 3.00 p.m. Cheshunt have, sadly, already been relegated but I suppose with nothing but their pride to play for they have clearly relaxed and started to play with a bit more confidence as they beat Bromsgrove in their last match and pulled off a 2-1 win at Merthyr to take 6 out of their last 9 possible points. Overall though their away record of just 2 wins, 3 draws and 14 defeats highlights some of the problems they’ve faced. Clevedon fans may see the return of Steve Cook, on the bench for the last two matches, from his long injury play-off and we’ll bring you any team news nearer the time. the night before our match featuring one of my own childhood heroes, Dave Mackay, so there may just be some bleary eyes on their team coach!!
