It’s off to London for the first leg of the Errea Cup Final...
This Tuesday we travel to Hillingdon Borough FC, in West London, for the first leg of our Errea Cup Final with the Division One South & West side; the second leg being on April 22 at The Hand Stadium. Hillingdon are currently 14th in their division with a home record of 11 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats but this is a cup final so anything can happen and although our hosts have failed to win any of their last five league matches, they have reached the final of the Middlesex Charity Cup in that time and their record in reaching the Errea Cup Final is impressive to say the least. They beat Kings Lynn away in the semi-final, Banbury United away in the quarter finals, Bashley away in the 4th Round, after extra time, and Division One sides Berkhamstead Town, Windsor & Eton and Bracknell in getting to that stage. When you consider that we didn’t beat any of those Premier sides home or away in the league this season it says something about Hillingdon’s cup record, not forgetting they also reached the 2006 F A Vase Final.
There are no big names
in the Hillingdon squad and goals are spread around within the team but Clevedon go to London with an almost full squad and in good form so let’s hope we can bring back a decent result for the second leg. We will bring you the latest score updates as they happen on our forum, but if you want to travel by car (the team coach is now full), travel directions can be found on the Hillingdon website (Who’s Who page).
