We welcome our near neighbours, Yate Town, this Tuesday evening

This Tuesday we welcome Yate Town to the Hand Stadium for a British Gas Business League match, with a 7-45 kick off. Yate are, of course, old friends and we’ve enjoyed many epic encounters with them over the years, and many years ago inflicted our biggest ever defeat on us in a Bristol & District League match. These days we are both Premier Division clubs and we have a chance to carry off a league double after our 3-1 win at Lodge Road last August, when Kris Leek scored twice and Scott Hendy hit a third. Yate are currently 13th in the table with an away record of 5 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats and, as with all derby matches, this will be a tough test for the Seasiders. We also welcome back several former players including Lee Jefferies, Matt Rawlins, Craig Davidge and Mike Wyatt just to add some more spice to the game. We’ll bring you team news when we hear it but I think its safe to say the team picks itself at the present time!!  To find out more about the Bluebells why not pay a visit to their website.
