The first half saw the Daggers pressed back early on by their hosts but they found the way through on 14 minutes when they took the lead. Richard Graham found Patterson on the overlap and his cross from the deadball line was headed home by former Stockport striker Michael Malcolm.
Dave Rainford added the second on 63 minutes, firing home from the edge of the six yard area after Chris Moores shot was blocked on the line. A good wortkout by the Daggers and the scoreline could have been greater had Clevedon goalkeeper Danny Greaves not been in such good form.
