Clevedon Town 0 Bristol Rovers 2
A brace of goals half way through the first half saw Bristol Rovers record a two-nil victory over their hosts in what turned out to be an entertaining match at the Hand stadium.
The Rovers goals which came in the 20th and 23rd minutes, were scored by first team regulars Craig Hinton & Andy Sandell, and Rovers just about deserved their win on the night. Danny Greaves was the busier of the two keepers, but with several trialists in the side, Clevedon put in a spirited display especially in the second-half with Tyrone Topper, Kyle Bassett and Steve Cook all looking impressive.
This was a useful performance by Clevedon against a well organised Rovers side managed on the night by former Clevedon manager Kevin Hodges. With all the friendly matches now completed it’s down to league action on Saturday week when we entertain Rugby Town and the real test begins.
