Team Bath 0 Clevedon Town 1
Clevedon pulled off a great win against Team Bath at Twerton Park tonight, in front of a paltry crowd of just 63, to book a place in the Fifth Round of the Errea Cup for the first time in their history. Kyle Bassett scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute to record Phil Bater’s first win as a manager against the students, and Clevedon’s first win over them since October 2003, when Ryan Weisberg and Mark Fey scored in a 2-1 win at the University campus.
Since then Team Bath have matured as a team and regardless of the nature of the tournament this was an excellent result for the Seasiders against a side who beat Chippenham in the last round and are in third position in the Premier Division table. Clevedon now go into the quarter final draw alongside Didcot, Swindon Supermarine, Rugby, Cirencester, Hillingdon Borough, Banbury and either Kings Lynn or Hemel Hempstead.
