Match Report
Maidenhead United 0 Clevedon Town 5
Clevedon Town moved off the bottom of the Premier league table with an emphatic 5-0 away win over Maidenhead United.
An early injury to defender Geraint Bater saw the introduction of Pete Sheppard and the tactical substitution of Jack Pitcher for Mitchell Page, this team change unsettled the seasiders and enabled Maidenhead to rule the game as Clevedon endured a torrid 35 minutes of pressure, but several excellent saves by Man of the match Danny Greaves, kept the game goalless. The visitors took a two goal lead trough a Jack Pitcher lob, and a Pete Sheppard shot from outside the box.
Manager Phil Bater changed to a 4-3-3 formation for the second half, this gave Clevedon a better balanced side and thwarted the hosts attacking ambitions, the move paid off after an hour of play with two goals from Jack Pitcher and Leon Hapgood who both scored with close range tap-ins. This goal tally put a resurgent seasiders in command of the game and a late goal by substitute Tom Jacobs rounded off an excellent away win.
