Clevedon returned to league action as they drew 0-0 in a match watched by as many media people as football fans. Unfortunately the match was played in heavy fog which meant that those behind the goal, including your intrepid reporter, saw little of the action at the opposite end, so tonight's report is very sketchy!
First half was a fairly even affair with the best chance falling to Jack Pitcher midway through the half. The second half was dominated by Hemel Hempstead who apparently had a Gary Sippetts goal disallowed, a Paul Edgernorth free kick tipped onto the woodwork by Danny Greaves, and an appeal for a penalty turned down by Devon Referee Mr R Greenwood. But as I could not see any of these incidents we have to take that on face value. Hanin Romhdane had Clevedon’s best chances, the second of which was denied by a superb save from Steve Smith in the visitors goal. Our apologies for this indecisive report but we simply could not see enough of the action.
